The Traducer
•9 verses
A Meccan surah of 9 verses, Al-Humazah was revealed to denounce the behavior of certain Meccans who insulted people and hoarded wealth with greed.
Al-Humazah warns the slanderers and backbiters who amass wealth thinking it will make them eternal. It describes the Crushing Fire (Al-Hutamah) that awaits them.
Teach your child the importance of not mocking others or backbiting, as these behaviors are severely condemned by Allah.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to every scorner and mocker
Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.1
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.1
And what can make you know what is the Crusher?
It is the fire of Allāh, [eternally] fueled,
Which mounts directed at the hearts.1
Indeed, it [i.e., Hellfire] will be closed down upon them
